The NFTYCO® collection is a melange of CyberPunk inspired 3D EVA Printable Models and the background inset of the Sneaker Collectible itself has provided a panel for the display of the Artwork.

This is a shoe that is not only the artwork but in and of itself is a tokenized asset that exists as a Backable NFT that can be owned by a “decentralized autonomous org” like owning stocks and bonds within a shoe. To be able to vote on proposals put forth by the community to do things like AR Gaming.

“NFTYCO® ‘$SNKR’ Governance Tokens” — This development phase DApp is implementing ERC-998 for assembling fashion looks that will allow for the buying and trading of expensive high-end collectible sneakers through a curated registry. This will allow kick collectors to keep a record of authenticity and appraisal value to be staked. NFTYCO® ‘SNKR’ Governance Tokens hold both the ball of insurance and the certificate of authenticity with the reputation IDs of their high-end sneaker collections.”- Source

“According to the NFTYCO®, NFTYCO® digital collectibles backed by ‘$SNKR’ interest-bearing $SNKR. Using a blend of NFT token standards including ERC-721 and ERC-998, NFTYCO® features a combination of traits that determine their value, including random traits determined at their minting, the value of a SNKR staked, and NFTYCO® “wearables” — ‘child’ NFTs that can be programmatically tied to each NFTYCO® SNKR.”

“In an interview with SneakerVC, @askcasmir revealed that the NFTYCO® team is now onboarding footwear designers & ‘crypterns’ and that they also count a small army of volunteer artists and enthusiastic community members as part of their ranks. Moving forward, @askcasmir aims to bring NFTYCO® deeper into the Defi fold, mixing NFTs and this explosive, emerging financial vertical in exciting new ways. The NFTYCO® Team will warehouse physical sneakers in a centralized location with the physical pairs being held in a Vault air temperature-regulated facility where the sneakers can be viewed as they’re authenticated with a live video IoT feed that is connected to the blockchain-based NFT tokenized sneaker collectible.

“What NFTYCO® your SNKR is a key to your Physical sneaker collections where it’s guaranteeing your sneakers from another platform like StockX or GOAT or the SNKRS app. I think you could start to see alliances between Games and all this interoperability between all the Blockchain platforms like Flow. If there are standard NFTs that are accepted across platforms as badges that you earn at one platform and are accepted at another, you’ll start to see NFTs used for integrating all these platforms in very interesting ways.

Q: How did you find out about SneakrCred?

DM: I met Casmir at 0xpo 2020, hosted by the 0x Project team.

Q: What was it like working with the NFTYCO® Team?

DM: Casmir and Justin made me feel like part of the team from the very beginning. I felt empowered. I had so many ideas and they were patient and accommodating.

Q: What does the process of creating/minting NFT’s look like?

DM: Justin took advantage of minting features on Cargo.Build to allow him to mint in bulk and then load in the data later. This was an attractive feature because I am an obsessive proofreader and wanted everything to line up perfectly. They sent me some prototypes initially based on my descriptions. Then we really dug in and started playing with color combinations. I highly recommend anyone commission NFTYCO® to design a shoe or two, this process alone was incredibly fun. After we finalized the colors, I went to work designing custom metadata. Name, description, it was a blank canvas on which I capitalized, as a poet, it was quite liberating. About half of the Sneakrs have an original poem/spoken word accompanying them.

Q: How long did it take to make/mint?

DM: The Void series took the longest, due to the design edits I asked for, and creating the spoken word poetry and blurbs. Those took a good month, but the commemorative colorways took about a week or two. Keep in mind, this was my first rodeo!

Q: When did the product launch after the finalizing and approval process?

DM: We dropped our first teaser on August 31, and the Void drop was on September 8th.

Q: What was the community’s reaction to the Drop?

DM: “Dope!” Our commemorative series was very well received. It’s a unique marketing strategy for not only SneakrCred, but whatever company is featured.

“When can I get a pair?” was the most common reaction!

Q: How many Give-aways did you guys run during the promotional

DM: I think we did 6 giveaways in total. I was on a giveaway frenzy prior to the US election, I wanted to ship content consistently and keep the atmosphere fun and light.

Q: Who would be the perfect fit for product designing sneaker collectibles for their company?

DM: Sure would love to see custom Yeezys from Ye! I’d really love to see big sneaker makers allow fans to create the designs.

Q: What was your reaction when you saw your artwork come to realization?

DM: Seeing a painting that holds such a deep meaning translate into something so stylish is profound. This was a transformative process for me. Not only did I evolve as an artist and Ethereum researcher, but I realized how much stronger efforts are when moving as a team, with the final product being inclusive of everyone’s feedback and ideas.

“Badges — I used to think of badges just strictly in terms of gaming, but actually they could be a lot more.-source

For instance, if you want to borrow against your physical sneaker collections without having to sell your collateral — it’s not your credit score, it’s your collateralized SneakrCred NFT’s.-source

“But I think one of the really exciting things that NFTs can help solve is this idea of a reputation system that permeates across Web3, so regardless of which platform you’re on, and even if you want to be quasi-anonymous.” https://medium.com/@raxxcoin

“As long as you hold that NFTYCO® Badge that shows you have this kind of reputation earned, and the NFTYCO® has been in this wallet X amount of time, you have a way to unlock value to your physical sneaker collection as credit score system whereby which your SNKR tokens, and their time in your wallet, you qualify for a better rate — something like that. -Source

SneakrCred makes sense as a solution to needing a reputation system that preserves some degree of anonymity. I think that could be very exciting.

@Lander early adopter of SneakrCred

Q: When did you discover SneakrCred?

A: Feb 10th, 2020

Q: How did you first learn about the project?

A: At that time I was always searching for new projects on Opeansea with a filter setting found in the Dapp rankings.

Q: Who informed you about the initial product launch?

A: No one

Q: What was it like during the bidding process?

A: My purchases were not in an auction setting they were a set price

Q: How much did you bid to win?

A: .02 each at a buy now price- no auction

Q: How many did you buy?

A: On that first day I only bought one, but something call it spidey sense kicked in while I was at work 4 days later on the 14th of Feb and I purchased 5 more. I was still able to buy low serial numbers that day. I don’t think anyone else besides the guy who purchased the #1 had made a purchase. But there may have been one or two purchases but none of them seemed to go for lower serial numbers.

Q: What compelled you to pick those colorways/token #’s?

A: I am a big fan of all black clothing/cars that kinda thing. I just like that color scheme. Also, I’m a lifelong 49ers fan and the 49er colorway was one of the lowest serial numbers.

Q: How did you make a return on your sneaker flips?

A: I noticed over the next 10 days or so that all of the sneakrcred’s started selling. Then they were sold out, then secondary sales started to happen at 3x or so. They had gone from .02 to .07. Now I never imagined I’d sell these for any large profit. I simply bought them because I found them really early and was able to buy the #2 serial number and 5 more in the single-digit serial numbers. On Wednesday, Feb 19th only 9 days after I spent .12 eth or roughly 25$ at that time I was playing my favorite game Rocket League when my friend needed a quick break. While I was waiting I happen to look at my offers on my items. My screen had 15 or so offers for these sneakrcred nft’s. I was shocked but none of them were very high. I think .2 was the highest offer which would still be a 10x but I had grown to really like these as I thought it was cool my 2 favorite colorways seemed to be the creators also since they were some of the lowest serial numbers. So I thought well I’ll just set the price of one of these at 1 eth. That will make these people go away and let them know I’m not interested in selling them. Well, less than an hour later I checked back during another break-in gaming. Well, much to my surprise they had SOLD! I was in shock, I tried gaming for a bit and was so distracted running these recent events through my mind that I couldn’t play. I told my friend what had happened and that I had to look into this and see what was going on. Well, I contacted a friend who informed me the buyer is a major buyer in NFT’s. And so the negotiation started. Some back and forth on each item was done as can still be seen in the history of each NFT I sold that day and a few days later. At the end of that first day, I believe I had 8 eths in my wallet with another 1.5 ish that I got a few days later on another sale or 2.

“Five years from now we’re gonna be on a whole different level with real NFTs of consequence, which is one way I talk about it — NFTs that really have an impact on your bottom line, and they’re more than just a collectible.”slack

On the good side, you’re going to see more participants, but you’re going to see people that are just playing to earn. I love the idea of changing the idea of gaming, where you actually get some rewards for your attention, right? Every advertisement, everything’s battling for people’s attention, and technically, games are too. But the sincerity or the level of loyalty to the project is where it gets a little mystified, where you’re going to have, you know, maybe huge numbers, but are they just going to leave as soon as the coins go down in price, or there’s a dip or there’s whatever, like, they just kind of leave the game for the next one that makes money.

I think the only way to address that is with a very addictive game and ultimately grow more and more.

“The NFTYCO® Sneaker company that also natively operates on a financial layer, has recently launched a SneakerVault for its sneaker collectibles to lock them in a Vault whereby which will operate as a fund to manufacture & 3D print physical sneakers.

Their newest Sneaker Collectible features artwork in the style of footwear designer @OBJ a nod to the New CyberPunk 2071 game that will be minted as both a physical sneaker and NFT. SneakrCredGo is the AR Geo-spatial digital collectible game whereby you can collect and score new sneakers from in-game drops and earn proof of attendance badges from virtual concerts.

Q: What is your background and how did you get started as a Footwear designer?

OBJ: My interest in footwear began in primary 3. I was 7 years old then. This was in 1988 thereabout. Back then, I noticed all the kids wore great shoes. My father bought me wingtips and oxfords. Everyone was wearing converse or what we called ‘camboos’(sneakers) in Ghana. I wore dressing shoes to school. I intentionally tried to destroy these dressing shoes by playing football, kicking stones, or stepping on the heel to destroy them so my father will get me new pairs.

It did not work, at a point he made me wear those same torn shoes. I was embarrassed in school so I would not go for a lunch break since that’s when your sneakers will be seen by everyone in the school. While in the classroom, I began drawing my own shoes, and then I promised myself one day I will design my own shoes, get them made, and wear them. I will also produce more to give to not so privileged kids like me when I was a kid, who could never get nice shoes to wear.

I began copying shoes from existing brands and tweaking them in Junior Secondary School around 1995. My favorites being Onitsuka Tigers or Asics, Adidas, Nikes, and Timberland boots. This quest to make my own shoes to wear and give some out has been one of my biggest motivations making me go through secondary school to offer a Visual Art course, to the university to go through Industrial Art (a Product Design course) and then a Masters degree in Jewellery and MetalSmithing.

Q: How long have you been a Footwear designer?

OBJ: I started creating MY OWN shoes through concept development, idea development, biomimicry, and design thinking, for my personal clothing line OBJClothing & Accessories in tertiary school in the year 2005. When I completed tertiary school in 2006, I went for an internship at a shoe factory to help me understand the shoemaking process practically into 2007. Since then I have been designing shoes till today, December 2020.

Q: What are your inspirations?

OBJ: I come from a family with no role models, in education or business, I had to bump my head several times, I almost quitted secondary school because my dad could not afford to cater for my schooling. But I was able to go through these tough times. There are still kids facing this same problem in my community and many other parts of the country. What inspires me most is to be an example to many other kids in my community who come from backgrounds that are not so great to inspire them to achieve much in life; to see me and say because OBJ did it, I can also do it because he came from nothing to something.

Q: What was the design process like with NFTYCO® ?

OBJ: The process was very exciting. Because that was the first time I am working on a sneaker with a team with one formally working at Nike. So I did not know the Nike shoe design process. The unusual process I used I felt might be different, which it was. So I tried to be in student mode to be guided by Andy so I learn this different design process. But my strength in design is idea development.

I can turn one idea into a thousand versions. So the design brief, being that precise, did the magic to bring out the best ideas from my mind. I could have even gone further but timelines were fixed so I decided to have a cap point.

Q: When did you discover NFTYCO®

OBJ: First time I heard of NFTYCO was from Cash herself.

Q: How easy was the design process?

OBJ: The design process may be easy because the design brief was really clear. The images and the videos did the magic. That was the trigger point. One of my greatest strengths is idea development, so when I am given such a superb design brief, the work is like 70% done. Also most times I will discuss design fees before doing any design job.

But the issue is if I am offered lower than I expect and given more than I demanded, It ruins the vibe in the design process. Because either I am bitter or I am creating just for the money. Not to say money is not important to me but, not doing the usual thing of discussing design fees and tricking my mind that this is a free job, made me create from the innermost soul and made this somehow exciting for me to achieve a really killer result that the team will love.

Q: Had you ever heard of NFT’s before this Creative brief with NFTYCO®

OBJ: No I haven’t. For the business model I have heard a similar one before, because I used to work with Thrill Digital, a digital fashion company in the UK, I got exposed to some similar things over there in that company until my contract ended three months ago.

Q: What is your vision for the future of footwear design for the metaverse?

OBJ: It is going to be HUGE. I cannot really tell how it is now, because over here the internet is a bit expensive so we cannot game that much and there are very few game centers with Gaming laptops and the likes, but paying attention to what is happening in the digital world and being a great fan of innovation and how disruptive technologies are rampant these days, makes me feel this is just beginning. Because I know gamers buy assets, and I modeled products for companies in Australia for Thrill digital for their AR stores and VR environments, so this is the next big thing, that's what I believe. The digital age is going to stay for a long time and I believe these assets will be very necessary for the metaverse since the internet is not going away anytime sooner or later.
